Al Rappy Blues

I am in Very Hard doing the Fake in Yellow quest piping for an Al Rappy.
I have found a total of two so far, no weapon.
The drop rate for the Elysion is 7/8.
That is an 87.5% chance of the rare droping or an item being droped? I am o for 2 as of now.

I will keep trying.

I am just look for words of encouragement to know I am doing everything right.

That 87.5% is the drop rate of the weapon you're looking for. You just seem to have horrible luck. (The chances of it not dropping twice in a row are about 1/64.)

I would not really call that bad luck.
I would call it too lucky.
That is a 1.6% chance!

I have one more question.

Do I haft to KO the Rappy or can I just zap it from a distance so it runs away instantaly.

As long as you hit it AGAIN while it's running away you'll get it. But if you've been hitting it and letting it just run away then you've been wasting a HELL of a lot of time. From long range... first hit to make it run... second hit to make it drop an item and fall over.
