My pc is fighting me every step of the way here. But I am so close! I cannot turn back!

Anyone have any suggestions? I am assuming it is my spyware or virus protection?

1.Add PSU into the exclusions of your virus protector and firewall.
2. If that doesn't work, disable your firewall/virus protector.

Also if any of that doesn't work, state what kind of virus protector and firewall you're using and maybe we can diagnose this a little further.

Also this should be in tech support.

I'm having the same problem. I just finished my new computer today. Turned off my firewall and that didn't help.

1.Try setting the game to frameskip 3.
2. If you have Netlimiter, uninstall it.
3 Try this http://boards2.sega.com/psu_board/viewtopic.php?t=3442

Try the step 3 from above.

Using the steps and procedures from the first post of http://boards2.sega.com/psu_board/viewtopic.php?t=3442

Hello there.

I'd like to take the opportunity to resurrect this post with my own personal error 51.

None of the four solutions listed on the PSU tech help page for error 51 nor the solutions laid out in this thread abate the error.

I'm using TrendMicro Antivirus 2007 and Webroot SpySweeper, and allowed BestBuy to perform their opening registry edits and free bundle software removal for this computer.

It is an HP Pavilion dv6436nr Entertainment Notebook PC.

Please let me know if any other solutions can be tried.

EDIT: Also, if it helps, I can connect to PSU with my PS2 using the same internet connection.

I am using a Linksys WRT54GS router. When I tested for error 51, DMZ was enabled, essentially opening every single port for my computer (not just those that PSU requires).
