why EP3?

what is so great about EP3? All it is, is a card game. If I what to play a card game I would play magic or poker.

If you have no taste for card games, besides those you mention, then it is unlikely that this is a game for you.

It's a card game built in the PSO universe, and as such it has appeal to everyone interested in PSO, who want to have a change from the usual real time mechanics of the other PSO games.
Besides those, it might have some appeal to those who enjoy card-video games, or strategy games with a scent of anime and sci-fi.

It seems like you already made up your mind about this game, but if you're honestly curious about what its strong points are, you could always read one of the (online) reviews.

Basically it's a different approach to the PSO world, just as Tom said. Also every card game has it's own rules. I personally play Magic and I find both different and entertaining in their own ways.
