Hi everyone http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif! My friend just recently moved and has been having the worst luck with being able to connect to PSU as of recently =/. Well, the original household he used to play it in, he used a wired connection, but now..since he has moved, the new place is running on wireless, so we're not really quite sure how to get him up and running again http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime2.gif

So far, all I know is..he has a two different routers in the household. One he brought with him that he used to connect with at his old place and the new one (which I'm assuming is wireless). Sorry, I'm not sure what the models are, honestly.

He came over a while back though and brought PSU with him and it worked fine at my place. I don't run on wireless, so that's apparently preventing him from signing on at his new place. Any idea how to get him in the right direction?

I'd really appreciate any help in this matter. Thank you http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime1.gif

It seems this may be what he needs to run the game in a wireless location:

Or..would it be this?

Any help in this matter would be much appreciated.

Mod edit: replaced the too long URLs with some links.

You need these things for a wireless connectivity through your homes:
•Broadband Internet connection
•Wireless router
•A computer with built-in wireless networking support or a wireless network adapter

Just follow these instructions:
http://www.microsoft.com/athome/moredone/wirelesssetup.mspx

I'm not sure of quality for routers or anything but try searching for a wireless hub so that you can connect things with Ethernet and have wireless access such as: Linksys Wireless (http://www.linksys.com/servlet/Satellite?c=L_Product_C1&childpagename=US%2FLayout&cid=1115416939789&pagename=Linksys%2FCommon%2FVisitorWrapper&lid=3978991233B01)

i was told ps2's don't work wirelessly.
if that is true, then i would suggest switching to PC or somehow getting hardwire for his ps2 <.<

I'm personally wondering: How the HELL does anyone put up with playing it on PS2?! I just tried it on my slim since I bought a wireless router (has multiple ethernet ports so I just plugged the cable from my PS2 into that) and it played horribly. Like, can't see the enemies, load times over a minute, skipping music horribly.

Is that normal...? Or is there just something up with the connection (I have pretty speedy cable internet). Because if it is normal...Jesus.
