PSU: Question about an option....Graphics

What exactly does Mipmap do and would it make much of a difference in the look and how good PSU runs if I turned it off?

Mipmap smoothens out the pixels on an image when you go close enough to a texture on the screen. Tuning it down can increase in framerate of gameplay, but can decrease in potential rendering speed of pixels.

Basically, if you look from afar on a picture, you can see it clearly. With mipmap off, and you get really really really close to the picture, you see all these blocky, pixel shades.

Mipmap is able to smooth all of that out and increase your detail of things depending on distance.
