I raise my right hand, seeing as I'm right-handed. If I'm writing something or my right arm hurts from raising my right hand too much, I will raise my left hand.

Left hand, which becomes a pain when the teacher is off in La-La land, because I write with my left hand, which means I stop what I'm doing for 10 minutes of the class. It wouldn't be any better if I used my right hand because I need that hand to keep my paper from sliding around. It's also a pain (literally) because both my shoulders are fucked; they don't rotate properly. My shoulder blade slides over my backbone and makes a sickening grinding noise, with an equally painful feel.

I hate being left-handed.

It depends on what I'm doing at the time - whichever hand is free.

If both are free, I'll usually either raise the right hand, or just start talking if I happen to be in class.

...'Cause you can do that when your classes typically have approximately four people in the room, including the instructor.
