MAG question

i havent been playing for very long and i am just wondering what the IQ stat of MAGs does.

According to the Mag guide I read, Synchro affects how fast your photon bar fills up, and IQ affects how often your Mag does special stuff like heal you, revive you, make you invincible, etc. Am I correct?

Actually, Synchro effects the odds of a MAG performing a function at specific times (ie. boss, 1/10 HP, 100% PB, dead). The higher the synchro, the better the chance it'll perform a function. Keep in mind that every MAG evolution has varying degrees of functionality. For example, 100% synchro on one MAG isn't necessarily going to have the same effect on another MAG.

IQ effects how strong the function or Photon Blast is. Higher IQ gives a higher/longer boost or more damage, as the case may be.
