when i really think about it i dont know why i keep playing pso. i just think its a cool game. i always play with a person then get to a high level then start over for no reason (probably for laughs and giggles). but why do you all keep playing pso?

Rare items. That is a big reason.
Also, I just like to play it. PSU got boring and confusing really quick and PSO has always been a fave of mine http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime1.gif

I always enjoyed playing it since it's always fun with a few buddies. Time passes by fast when you play with friends that are trying to reach a same goal or want to help.

Yeah. I would also have to go with that http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_lol.gif
Last time I played multimode with my friends, we had challenge and battle modes until 4 in the morning http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_lol.gif

i play because its fun to grab a bunch of random people in the lobby and go kill stuff.

online play makes this game so fun. you make friends with people and build relationships while killing annoying ass enemies lol.

I play to have fun with my brother when he visits. I'm always raising a variety of characters and chasing a variety of rares, so that when we do play together we can just goof off with whatever we want.

Plus I find that I am terribly addicted to these types of games.

It is really fun watching your puny Level 1 grow up to over Level 100, and start to kick some ass.

And of course the red boxes.

THE RED BOX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!i think fujita said it all right there

Red boxes. Like, even now, red boxes make me happy.

But online mode rocked. I met all sorts of cool people on Xbox, because after a while, you've memorized the spawns and once you get a team going, things seem to break down into an exact science, LOL.

Right now I am all about PSO-X's Max Attack 1 w/my Hucast. Closing in on 10,000 points there. Plus I can find the Pan Arm's arm. Right now I am on run 17ish. After that I will try to get a team together for the movie quest.

well... recently i had a bit of a set back. a few weeks ago me and my friend got into ultimate... before that we kinda got bored. so a few weeks went on and three days ago i decided my first good weapon. not just any rare. sure i have a couple dozen rares but they arent that great.so i set out to get..........orotiagito from a tollaw. now, the day i decided that... my friend decided to leave pso for psu(he still doesnt own it but i lend him my copy). the search for oroti will keep me alive, does any1 have any idea of how i can bring him back from the grave?

I usually play to pass time, as time passes quicker when you're doing something you enjoy =]

I like playing with my brother in multimode. I've got two characters in ultimate (level 84 and 117) and he's got 3 in ultimate mode (all over level 100) And it's all offline but we still play for hours, fighting over who gets the red boxes lol.

What is keeping me going now is Ep II Challange Mode online. We got Undertow back, so that means S ranks and Hunter/Ranger/Force Fields for all!

xxTrystanxx
Sep 2, 2007, 11:12 AM
Oh man, Undertow is back?! Shit.. I'd already been considering it.. but that just makes me all the more wanting to re-instate my XBL and come back...

Yukino still around too?

Tell them I said Hi!!

Yukino's still hanging around PSU... I talked to him about a week back and his HL is still running too.

I'd have to say that I am starting to lose hope for that in-cursed Frozen Shooter (4 Torrs...), but I still strive to play this game all throughout my last year in school.

Oh yeah, I also enjoy the pretty red boxes...

Red boxes, fun with Rappys, anything close to an "almost death" http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif... basically fun with friends http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif (I laugh like crazy when El Rappys surround me!)

Also some kind of research 'cause I don't know anyone online http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime2.gif besides, I'm trying to open a Sealed Sword and trying to get a Parasite Gene Flow http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif.

I'll live until I get PSU, PSO keeps me alive http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_lol.gif

I play nothing else for months, then get horribly bored of it and don't play for months, then I get back into it, and the cycle continues, it's just how it goes.

When i played online it was just for leveling up and the missions, while trading and finding new weps was fun too. Offline is boring, cuz none of my friends play anymore, but it was fun when i got a group together, for like a week we would start playing it til like 6 in the morning.

What keeps me going? I just started hunting for the sealed J Sword again on my inferior PAL copy of PSO (wish Plus was released here http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif ). Yeah, I know it's futile, but stick yourself in my situation. I have no social skills so that makes me a loner. There's nothing on T.V. I apply for countless number of jobs but hear nothing back, and I had an interview but didn't get a job. That gives me a lot of time. I can either waste my time doing nothing, or waste my time killing the 1 Gi Gue in the Beach area of CCA and bad-mouthing Sega for not releasing Plus here so I can do the Towers quest. Takes me 7-9 minutes each run of the beach area then quitting. I know that if I keep at it, I may get the sword, 'cause if you don't try, you don't find. Not that bad really. I managed 150 Gi Gue kills in a week once. I ain't doing any other rare runs 'til I find that bloody sword. I'm only sane 'cause I love the beach area and the music.

I play because I find it fun, and because I need to own a Ragol Ring once again.

I don't recommend playing PSO and PSU back to back, though; the controller schemes differ too much XD

What keeps me going, huh. Well, I'm one of the rare few still lurking on US PSO:BB, and.. the community. There aren't many of us, but most of us know each other, and we can run perfectly good events ourselves where SEGA won't get involved. I'm not very good at talking with people, but I just like everyone on there. And I'm sad whenever someone quits, but I know there will always be that slow stream of new people for me to help and get to know. It's like... extended family, if you want to put it that way. It's the best place I can imagine being.

I know what keeps my wife going - the virtual shopping experience. Could I get her off it last night ? No. I could not.

Still, it's Friday, so the evening will probably go like this: Wife plays PSO (shopping) for hours then goes to bed. Noddy finally gets a go, drinks too much wine, buys Hunters Licence and stays up 'till 5am.

I can't either, my friend. I can't get a subscription because my mother also thinks thats not ok, and I am 17. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif Also I have no friends who would be interested in playing with me offline, arghhh.

That is how they get you http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wink.gif

Have you tried to work things out, and do you even have the materials needed to play Online (broad-band, register, etc)? Good luck...I might get Online on that other server a while from now.

Finally playing BB. Though I have never lost my urge for PSO, this helps boost my urge to play a lot.

For me? The thrill of perhaps finding new funky weapons to play with.

I started playing it majorly when my friend started a HUcast and was always bragging how strong he was.

He's not much up against my FOnewearl now! ^_^

Well, I am now on run 35 or so for a Pan Arm's Arm to drop for me in Blueful doing Max Attack 1 runs. Hildetorrs can drop the Heavens Punisher, and by myself online I can usually take down all the Pan Arms before the half hour time limit runs out. What sucks is that I had the 1975 Agito that a Tollaw dropped for me. I gave that away to a friend. Why it did not click that I could convert the 1975 Agito into the Oro is beyond me.
