Search free games on google... it's not hard. That's what most people will be doing if they answer you.

1) FREE
2) ONLINE
3) FUN

Choose two.

So true though http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_disapprove.gif

Here's my solution! Got a mere $20? Go buy the Warcraft 3 Battle Chest!

Free games? I'll name a few.

Gunz the Duel: Third Person Shooter, fast paced gun/sword combat. You level up to obtain newer, better armor, blades, and, of course, guns. Works with individual user-created games.

Shattered Galaxy: Futuristic Real Time Strategy, RPG elements such as equipping units and leveling them. Your commander also levels. Three warring factions battle over land, so it's PvP combat. There are also alien caves which you can fight in, in case you ant something different.

Rakion: Third Person "Shooter." Middle Ages characters. Swordsmen, Archer, Mage, Ninja, and Blacksmith (tank.) Also involves leveling up, but it's so slow you won't really be upgrading anything. Lots of Co-op missions once you hit level 3 (takes a few days.) Individual user-created games.

PM, AIM, or MSN me if you have more questions on these.

There's Fly For Fun... which is really... Grind For Not Quite As Much Fun As You Thought, When You Spent Two Hours Downloading The Installation Software, Only To Find That 2,000 Other People Are In The Newbie Zone Hunting The Exact Same Thing As You... Fun.

Pocket tanks. <3
Best time killing game I had being away from home. Of course you need 2 people for it.

Look up Crayon Physics, Sumotori, and Toribash.

All free, all fun... Just not online.

It has "Tanks" in the title so I'm immediately intrigued. But..."Pocket"? Is this some kinda cellphone game?

(...and needing two players? Is this like, a new version of the old "Combat" for Atari?)

No, PT is not a phone game, at least I don't think it is. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_rolleyes.gif

It's a 2D game where 2 people use a bunch of crazy weapons to damage each other score the most points. You can select your AOF(angle of firing) and distance power of weapon.

Dman, I completely forgot about that game. I remember playing that back in highschool photo class on the work computers.

Think worms, except the playfield is all on one screen, you have one tank, and moving is limited. I It doesn't support online play and it's one on one only.

Popcap (http://www.popcap.com/) has a few decent time-killing games on their site. A lot of them you can download a free 1-hour trail of the actual game instead of playing the web versions, or you can even order them online if you want. I'd recommend Astropop, Bejeweled 2, Chuzzle, Zuma, and Heavy Weapon.

*EDIT* - Sorry, failed to see you were looking for ONLINE games, lol. >_<;
