View Full Version : so i finished my new PM today... (testing rumors)

as the title says, i finished my second striking PM today http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif i had one on my girlfriends character on my xbox that was pure and fed the normal way, mates n all that n using weapons to bring tech down... yet i failed everything i attempted except 3 dual durandals (6*-all came out 10%...) - long story short, my girlfriend got her own xbox, i deleted her character off mine, so i had to make a new striking PM

now everyones heard all the PM rumors, but its hard to prove em... so i decided since my PM sucked the first time, i was gonna test a couple rumors myself because thats pretty much the only way ill find out whats right

rumor 1 - PMs will be better at synthing as the number of weapons you make with it increases
rumor 2 - if you feed it a lot of a certain weapon, it will get better at making that particular type of weapon
rumor 3 - if you make a lot of one weapon, itll get better at making that type of weapon
rumor 4 - making a lot of a certain type of weapon will cause its success rate to increase and/or its time to make it decrease

there might be a couple more that i could have accidentally tested lol

anywho, so this is how i did it this time:
my PM was fed seva satas (3* moatoob single saber)from level 0-100... not a single thing was given to it except seva satas, each of which were made by itself... i bought 32 boards, made 32 at a time and fed it whatever came out... EVERY SINGLE WEAPON IT ATE WAS A SEVA SATA THAT IT MADE ITSELF, just in case you missed that lol (if anyone was wondering, it costs a little over 1.5 mil to do this-and thats if every single weapon was successful, which was definitely not the case http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif prolly 2 mil altogether, so this better be worth it)

at 100:
it still takes 15 minutes to make seva satas, so that rumor is indeed a rumor

im not sure what the synth rates are for seva satas on another PM at 100 (if you can confirm this, please do), but im guessing they didnt change because the rates of a 3* sword are exactly the same n ive never made em before...
photon-98%, elemental-90%, el/im-39%

ive made over 1000 seva sata attempts, about 850ish came out ... so i think that would be considered making a lot of a certain type of weapon lol so we'll see if that helps at all when i pull out 2 falchions in a sec (first weapons ive ever made besides sevas)

ok well ill add what weapons i attempt to this as i put em in and we can see what happens... the only thing thats messing stats up is the battle stat (0 right now) so im guessin thatll hurt my success rates right now-but thats another thing i can test as its BS increases

Lots of rumours to test out on 1 PM though.
ALso...how much money is this running you?
But still, at least this will clear up alot of questions about PMs

I've heard similar rumblings. The pm itself even says it's supposed to be able to get better /faster at synthing the more you do. At best I've heard pm synth trends will be improving in the expansion. Maybe that is how they plan on doing the increase by unlocking that feature?

ya it does say itll get better/faster - im reading it right now - "Some items you can make in Network Mode can take time to synthesize. The more rare or higher rank the item is, the more time it will take. On the other hand, it can take less time if your partner machine has a high level of experience with sythesis. Also, it will take less time as the number of syntheses increases" ... 1000 seva satas later, every single time i had 32 going at once, still ALWAYS takes 15 minutes... nice one sega lol... (btw, i read that off of synthesis tips in ur PM, if anyone was wondering what my source was)

I've read that too. I think 15 mins is the lowest time a weapon synth can take. This may apply to a higher star item that takes more than 15 mins to synth default. Anyone got any examples in this?

My PM makes 8* kubara weapons in 6 hours. I forgot if this is half the time or not, but psupedia has the time listed as 12 hours for it to synth.

my vahra claws took 12 hours and ragnus took 24, havent tried any 8* kubara though

its 12 hours for 9* and I've yet to see the time go down on these though I've synthed a LOT of 9* weapons same type and not and gotten no luck.

however 7* crea weapons used to take my PM 5 hours and now it takes 4...


my ranged PM synths a lot too and I haven't seen any time decreases with her either...her Bst is higher than my striking PMs as well s i doubt thats a factor in the equation...i really can't say for sure
