Now I Have Blue Hair Too, Ho Ho Ho

On a whim, I dyed my hair blue today. Never really figured myself for the hairdye type. If the polaroids didn't look like arse I'd post a link to a pic of me.

Anyone else ever do something like that on a whim?

I kinda dyed my hair on a whim, too... I'd wanted to dye it few years before that, but one day in June I randomly thought "y'know, I think I'm going to dye my hair blue."

Only problem is that I'm unemployed, and I live in a conservative area, and nobody wants to hire me because of it. -_-

I got the dye from my little sister, actually. She got it for christmas, but she doesn't think her boss would let her go blue, so Mom said she'd replace it if my sis gave it to me.

So now my parents have a son with blue hair and a daughter with orange streaks (which apparently elicited comment from her boss).

I wasn't too worried about getting a job, though. I'm too busy with school for the next couple months, and when summertime rolls around it'll either have washed out or I'll dye it brown to get a job.

I've actually been getting more and more interested in dying my hair white. Thing is, my hair is not only very dark brown, but also very thick. And long. So I'm not sure how easy it'd be to dye it a pure white color... nor if it's possible or even easy to dye hair white anyhow.

I have brown hair, it can be rather dark when it gets long. I figure I'll have a hair cut first and then dye it, hopefully as it grows out it will have an interesting look to it.

I have been trying to do my hair white also! But every time I try I end up looking like eminem.. *shudder*.. So I submitted to red, and then black. I'm going to try doing a left-side-white/right-side-black type thing. I think it'd be awesome, although I don't think my management or my gf would approve.. *sigh*.. so many people that I have to please who don't like my expressions.

When my hair was still shoulder-length, I wanted to dye my hair white... but then my dad threatened to disown me, so I dyed it brown with red streaks instead. =_= Bleah. ^_^;;

Heh.. "white dye"? I'd guess that people are just bleaching it, and trying to bleach it to white. The thing is that this is a bad idea in general. It probably wouldn't get white with just bleach, but if it did, it'd have to be on there for so long that it'd damage the hair way more than is necessary. (Bleach DOES damage hair no matter what, but it's controllable)

After bleaching to a light yellow, you use a violet toner to get the remaining color out.

Keep in mind that any bleached hair needs special attention to stay nice--deep conditioning treatments and whatnot help it stay away from turning into straw.

My roots always feel very *fake* right after they're bleached, but after a while they take on the same consistency as the rest of it. (Then again, my hair is a very different consistency from what most people have, so... yeah, it's probably a bit different for everyone.)

I live in a Chinese family. We're strict on some stuff. Like, not having black hair is bad. ^_^;

The red streaks were real-red, not hair-red. Think, um... the colour of blood. That kind of red. ^_^;

My hair stayed brown/red for over three years before black hair finally grew in again... odd. o_O

One day, either white hair or silver hair. Either one. o_O

Im never really able to do any thing interesting with my hair. I work in a nightclub, so i have to have 'dudish' hair or something that doesnt look different from anyone else's.

Ive thought of growing my hair real long several times, but my older bro would give me shit. And when my hair gets to a certain length i start looking like a member of the beatles. My hair would probably grow long quite well as its really light (but that means it sticks up everywhere in the moring).

Oh well, i might have the time to do it when i go to university.

My mom has died my hair over 10 times. I have died it Red atleast 5 times (first time in 4th grade), died it black ONCE (ugly), and did purple streaks (in dark brown hair--it actually looked really cool), and have bleached/died it blonde 3 times.

Dont worry, my hair is still all there!
