Every week up to the release of Halo 3, they're releasing a new commercial along this line. The ad campaign is to make Master Chief a memorable gaming hero, the most of all time. They're to show the viewpoint from the soldiers who have fought alongside him; tell their story in a way that would be told as if there was a real persona that made a true difference among allies on the field of battle.

Think of it like this; I'm sure knowing that General Patton was still blowing the hell out of the enemy was a HUGE morale booster; someone else's inner strength permeates the field, giving those around them fuel for their own inner strength.

It's a brilliant ad campaign really; it's all an effort to make the Halo series stand out even further to the public. Everyone can say what they want about the Halo series; but I've found it a very enjoyable run since hearing the earliest information about Halo(which was much different than what we had ended up with).

Lmao, WOW, that was very unexpected! XD

Even though I don't own an Xbox360 (yet), I hope I get a chance to play this game soon, when it comes out. :3

I prefer the real Halo 3 "Museum" ad (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dQiMfG6MAOM) they released.

Yeah, thats the one I was referring to. Did'nt bother checking the first link, I just figured it was the original. Ah well, the 'altered' version isn't all that ha-ha, more like chuckle worthy.

Check out the battlefield (http://halo3.com/believe).

Well, it wasn't intended to be funny. Master Chief is the sci-fi equivalent of Alexander the Great in the sense of boosting soldier morale.

I'd say I like the altered version better. The real one just seems corny. I don't like my games crossing the RL boundry to much, or trying to put much emotion behind it (that's right, I'm a shallow gamer folks.)

In a game where I blow shit up with outrageous physics and impossible weapons, I really couldn't care less about this equally ridiculous ad campaign.

For what it's intended for, the Museum ad, in my opinion, just seems like a good advertisement. A war veteran recalling his experience of seeing the Master Chief, and if you think about it, it hints that the game's ending won't be apocalyptic, seeing that he's in a museum, with an interview voiceover about the entire thing.

Of course, I'd still be happy with more Game Fuel... Especially if it got sent to me free, like the ads. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif
