Question about TV Resolution (480p)

What is required to output, say, my 360, in 480p. Do I need Composite or Component? Also, how would I know if my TV can output in that resolution?

More curiosity than anything. Thanks for any replies.

You need component, which isn't a problem since the the 360 comes with Component already. Maybe the Core system didn't have them... but who bought one of those?

As for your TV, check to see if it has the Y/Pb/Pr (Green, Blue, Red) inputs. If it does, then chances are your TV in Enhanced Definition and likely supports 480p. Check your manual. Or if you don't feel like digging it out, just try switching from 480i to 480p in your 360 Dashboard. If it doesn't work, it doesn't work - but you won't hurt anything by trying.
