PSOBB: tried to switch chars, then Server under maintenence

This happens to me a lot. So I quit game so I can get another character, and then less than 5 minutes later, I try to log in, then it says the server is undergoing maintenence! It's not under maintenence.. its just an error. So, what I'm asking is.. how do I prevent this??????????????????????????????????

Yea its a error that occurs on PSOBB sometimes its been like a hole month since it last came.
