Help with a story mission

Does anybody remember the combination of buttons to trap the beast boy in the second to last story misison? I've been running around for about 20 minutes and I'm bored sh*tless of hittng buttons and watching endless cutscenes of him jogging off into the distance without a care in the world.

If I had my choice I'd leave him to rot or I'd take him down from afar with my rifle but the game won't let me http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif

I'm only doing these stoopid missions so I can get my Grinna Bete S deco.
