WT has more HP, ATP, DFP, a higher skill cap, and a larger variety of melee weapons, making it more ideal for melee combat. AT has a lower skill cap and smaller variety of melee weapons (with more to S rank) along with a higher TP and support tech cap, faster melee and tech speeds, and the ability to use all non-DoT traps.
