damn. i spent a whole day raising another sato to replace the one i lost due to the gc resetting while online. anyway, the one i had was grass green and had blue highlights. it looked awesome. i created a new character using the same clothes, hairstyle, name, etc., but when i finally got it, it was bright green with green highlights. wtf?!?!? anyone know what else determines the sato's colors?

the one i wanted is the one on the top right on this page (green with blue highlights) -

thanks

I'm wondering this as well.

I just started raising another Sato, and will be disappointed if it doesn't match my new costume. The baby mag was the teal color, so I'm assuming it will turn into this colored Sato.

I was lucky and got the Sato I wanted. Took me a long time to it tho...lv 200. I heard that when you pick an outfit the mag can have 2 different variation of colors i.e Black outfit Mag: Gray or black, Green outfit Mag: light green or dark green

What level did you guys evolve him at?

Some costume colors (like, say, Green) have two different shades of Mag colors. A green costume can produce either a bright green or a deeper green. Therefore, the difference in your Sato was probably caused by getting the other color of Mag with your same outfit.

ok. the color i've been getting when i start out is the bright green one with a yellow circle in the front. are there really 2 variations of green that a mag can start out with? i've tried this 3 times already (same clothes, different names). do you know what i should change to get the darker green starter mag?

thanks

What I heard is that the Shades of mags are a chance thing.

you could be right. i just spent 20-30 minutes recreating the same character. on the 13th try (i think) i got a darker green mag instead of the bright green one i usually got. i used the default colors and the same name so i know that no other factors went into it. that's pretty messed up. i'll start raising it and submit my findings later.

Think it's based on the original costume color of the character a mag came from or the costume color of the character who evolves the mag to Sato?

I ask this because I made a junk character just for the teal mag and transfered it to my main character who has a white costume.

Hmm.

The mag will be dark if you pick your color outfit from the top row, and light if you pick it from the second row. That could be backwards.

At least it has seemed that way in my testing. Since all classes have at least two rows of outfits, this is how it is. The third row, I don't know. Let me know if anyone else finds this to be true.

Does it also matter if the mag is your original, and if it's one you found? Also, will it match the major color in your outfit (looks like it does from what I've seen people say)?

I just question this because I used a Mag I found in the mines to make the Sato I have. I use this costume (http://www.pso-world.com/images/classes/FOmarl/costume4.jpg) and I got this shade Sato (http://www.pso-world.com/images/mags/sato/satocolor_4.jpg).
