I've lived out in this region for over a decade now. In that time, I've come to accept some of the natural disasters that occur here as an annoyance, but part of everyday life as well.
However, this is the first time it seems to me that we're in actual natural disaster territory. There aren't any fires burning close to where I live, but the winds are blowing in plenty of smoke, and the roads are carrying in thousands of evacuees. The media footage from Qualcomm Stadium added to the what-the-hell feeling.
Largest evacuation in the history of the state? I believe it.
Pretty much wondering how anyone else who may have been affected by these fires is doing right now.
