The anime is great and all but for some reason its heavy on references on different anime. The only way you would understand most of the references is if your an anime geek whos seen a whole bunch of anime. I would end up researching here at http://whoopdedo.org/moe/anime:hayate_no_gotoku cause there are far too many references for me to understand. Hmm oh yeah there are also some reference on games but they are very few compared to the anime references.
