hooray! finally found a source that displays all 5 super moves for each character! The specials in this game are really unique cause they use fullscreen authentic art and animations used in the anime. Plus it takes hardcore pros without hacks to survive long enough to get to use a level 4 or 5 super move.

Whee I can just imagine what a 5 player version of this game would be like. and it would still be balanced cause this game quite often has parts with many enemies that appear at once, kind of like Capcom's Alien vs. Predator. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

You know, suddenly I'm glad we never saw this game in America. Do we REALLY need another Final Fight ripoff based on a horridly craptastic anime designed for 7-10 year old girls? Unless you happen to be one.

OK, in my heart... maybe.

Wow, normal hits hardly do any damage at all. It seems almost necessary to use those special moves to do any sort of damage.

I watched the first two or three minutes and stopped. This game looks like ASS. Normal attacks being too puny to barely put a dent in anything, and special moves stopping the action for needlessly long periods of time. No thanks. Purdy graphics though.

I recall playing an SNES Sailor Moon beatemup and liking it though..but that was so many years ago, my standards were probably lower. But that game didn't have much in the way of necessary game-stopping special moves.

Of course, it's no Streets of Rage. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

I play the SNES RPG game on my PC. I am stuck, though. I also have some of the arcade ones.

Best Arcade Beat'em Up ever would go to Dungeons&Dragons: Shadow Over Mystara.

I miss the old Simpsons Arcade game, where Maggie gets kidnapped because she is using some diamond as her pacifier.

YEAH sHADOW OVER mYSTARA is incredible. but I dunno if it can top Guardian Heroes.

but this Sailor Moon arcade game is awesome, it's not about the hits being lighter, it's about the enemies being tougher, so that's better than the enemies being beaten too easy. plus the levels are not as long as, say, Streets of Rage 2, so each level gotta have lots of tough enemies and action.

Finally I can agree with Saner, Guardian ****in' Heroes ownz ASS! If you don't like this game you are a communist against all that is good and holy in the world. May your death come fast and swift the almighty lord of gaming himself!

Hmm... it looks like one of the goons at the end of each sequence is carrying a tennis racket.

I've never been hit with a tennis racket, but can't quite discern the mentality of the goon choosing a tennis racket. There's mailboxes close by, although wielding a mailbox I'd assume might be a bit awkward and hard to control. Also, we don't quite know how the mailbox is anchored into the ground. A concrete footing would take quite some time to dislodge.

There's clearly an open garage nearby. You would assume finding a more suitable weapon in the garage itself would have crossed the goon's mind. There's a spare tire noticeable, and very well may have been a tire iron nearby, although it may have been locked in the car itself.

You would assume simple household tools like hammers, shanks in the form of screwdrivers strewn about, or possibly blunt force trauma from a simple ratchet or shovel would better fit the bill. However, it looks to be a fairly posh suburban community, and said tools may very well have been catalogued, organized, and subsequently locked in cabinets, meticulously outlined with templates for each tool.

Perhaps that's what the goon was thinking.

That looks like such a bad game http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif

The Anime cut scene/specials were nicely done though http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif
