what items am i missing out on?

im not able to play pso online and was wondering what it is im missing out on. are there online specific weapons that im never going to be able to get?

Some. Not exactly sure what. I know that there were synthesis items, like Photon Booster, that altered some weapons into new weapons, like Flame Visit into Burning Visit.

Various weapons, the real Nei's claw, the items ot upgrade weapons to something better or worse (Frozen Shooter to Snow Queen, Monkey king bar to black king bar etc.), S-rank weapons and possibly a few other things like some of the colored rings.

nei's real claw is obtainable offline, as long as he has A) pso+, and B) a viridia character able to survive/own tower.

imo, you miss out on the online experience more than any item/weapon you can't get offline. thats one of the greatest things about pso. people sometimes forget the most important thing about pso: friends. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

Real Nei's Claw is found offline. Fake Nei's Claw was bought at Gallon's Shop.

Real Nei can't be found offline without PSO+ version which has been said already. You could also establish a general fact and say that without PSO+ version, you cannot obtain any item that you can obtain only in enemies that are found in the Control Tower.
