Ok, I did the Al Rappie trick for a while and found two Al Rappies (in different groups). Both of them dropped unidentified Special Weapons of the swrod type. When I had them identified, they both turned out to be Diskas of Liberator. My question is this: Are unidentified rares always the same thing, determined at creation, or is the tekker that you have identify them the deciding factor? Or is it something else? Thanks!

All rares are unidentified if they are a weapon, and the weapon you get depends on what ID, difficulty, and monster the rare came off of.

Hmm, yeah my Section ID is Whitill, and I think I read somewhere that that ID is good for finding slicers. BTW, I just found another Al, and he dropped another Diska http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif

A special weapon is predetermined and will never be anything else no matter who tekks it. Equally, the same critter type in that area and difficulty will always drop the same special item.
