Looked around, couldn't find anything like this.

I'm quite surprised really, with all the hype these forums gave for Batman Begins I thought it'd be more so for The Dark Knight. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

Let's start out with....

Why So Serious (http://www.whysoserious.com/)

This little baby popped up around six months ago. A good ol' Viral site for le Batman. Along with...

I Believe In Harvey Dent (http://ibelieveinharveydent.warnerbros.com/)

&

I Believe In Harvey Dent Too (http://ibelieveinharveydenttoo.com/)

(The latter if you highlight it, you see a lot of "ha ha ha"s and the letters that spell out the sentence "see you in december")

Now, Why So Serious is really the main viral site right now.

At Comic Con you could find clues irl and use on the site to gain access to the first Teaser Trailer which was released with select prints of "The Simpsons".

Some of the stuff was like, planes making a phone number in the sky. If you called it...you got a wicked awesome message.

In October the site got updated again, this time with a Jack O' Lantern with the smile...the bat symbol.

On Halloween, it changed to something like you see on it now. By clicking on the border of the picture you hear a message from The Joker and a new picture of him. Clicking it again takes you too the new viral site:

Rory's Death Kiss (http://www.rorysdeathkiss.com/)

Where until November 17th, you may take pictures of yourself dressed as the Joker and submit to the site. :3 (I'm trying to get some friends to do it with me XD)

Now, the "See You In December" here's where it gets awesome.

I Am Legend.

In IMAX Screenings of I Am Legend, the first 5-7 minutes of the actual The Dark Knight movie will be shown. (At least that's what meh sources tell me.)

Awesome.

I'm pumped and you should be too.

Edit*

When "I Believe In Harvey Dent Too" came out, "The Joker" vandalized it. The images isn't there now, but I found it:

http://www.slashfilm.com/wp/wp-content/images/jokerdefaced.thumbnail.jpg

(As nerds people added their e-mails, the image slowly changed to the first legit look of The Joker.)

Edit2* Check my later post for update.

Edit3* More websites in later post.

Edit4* Even more websites!

Ah, Two-Face. Nice to see they're already setting themselves up for a third installment.

I loved Batman Begins, so I'm really looking forward to The Dark Knight.

It'll be interesting seeing how Heath Ledger approaches the Joker. I think he'll do the role justice, personally.

Yeah, I've been following these sites for a while now. The Joker is one my all time favorite characters, and so far I've been creeped out by Ledger's portral, so I'd say he's doing a good job. I just hope he keeps that dark charm that the character is known for, and not fully going for the "OMG he's so freeky" effect.

Two-face should be awesome too. Apparently, he will appear before the Dark Knight is over (as Two-Face, not Harvey Dent.) This is great, cause we never get a good protrale of Two-Face in movie form (Tommy Lee Jones just played the characters as a rip off of the Joker...which isn't Two-Face at all.) Also, I've been hearing rumors that Scarecrow will be back for this movie (as he wasn't caught at the end of Batman Begins.) I hope he's back, with full Scarecrow costume.

Maaan...this movie can't come soon enough!

I said basically the same thing when they introduced Professor Connor in Spiderman. I saw no awesome Lizard.

Scarecrow IS back.

A few friends of mine have been to Chicago (all for different reasons) and have seen them filming scenes with Scarecrow. :3

Other times they just saw Heath Ledger in full Joker makeup walk down the street. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif

Lol, I just found this:

Oscar winner Jack Nicholson, who played the Joker in Tim Burton's 1989 blockbuster Batman, expressed his disappointment about the film to MTV.com. "They never asked me about a sequel with the Joker. I know how to do that! Nobody ever asked me," Nicholson said. "It's like, in any area, you can't believe the reasons things do or don't happen. Not asking me how to do the sequel is that kind of thing. Maybe it's not a mistake. Maybe it was the right thing, but to be candid, I'm furious."

The superstar added, "I'm not inclined to watch (The Dark Knight) because of what I said. But if it's a good movie, I'll catch up with it somewhere."

Hehehe

It's too be expected. I mean, I've read numerous places that the Joker was Jack Nicholsan's favorite role he played EVER! And to be fair, his role stole the show completely in the first Batman movie. Seriously, did we even need Batman? His scenes were dull compared to Joker's. The crew of The Dark Knight saw this and said, "we can't top what Jack did, so we're going to do Joker completely differently then how he did." Wise choice.

TheOneHero

Eh, Jack as the Joker wasn't that great.

Christopher Nolan will top Jack's Joker three times over.

Moo2u
Nov 9, 2007, 04:36 PM
Still, I can see how he'd get so attached to the role.

What's this? More news?!

At the stroke of midnight on the 18th of November. (Believe me, I was waiting) http://www.rorysdeathkiss.com was updated.

Those who met the deadline with joker pics received a very special gift...

The Gotham Times.

I am quoted the message from a friend, where he found it, I don't know.

In the newspaper there was a very small almost unnoticable ad. It read, "Charming handsome man with dazzling smile seeks amateur clowns for discreet encounters. No previous sense of humor nexessary. Criminal record a plus. Interested? Write to [email protected] in the full understanding that we have your email address and might send you alarming, disturbing, or annyoing material at any moment."

Now, tomorrow, Friday the 23rd, a new viral site opens up:

http://www.thegothamtimes.com

This is totally awesome.

For those interested in what the response e-mail says, check out le spoiler:

[spoiler-box]See you found my little message. So, do you think you have what it takes to be a part of my circle of friends? Are you a backstabbing, self-promoting, ambitious clown who will do anything to prove yourself to me? If so, the first step of your application process awaits...if you know where to look.[/spoiler-box]

A lot of people, myself included, believe the new viral website will help with the above e-mail; but nothing is for sure.

I just hope the joker is portrayed as I've always seen him. Depraved, insane, and completely full of himself.

Besides, the fact that the Joker could stab someone in the throat without caring, and then make a joke about it that was funny is what makes him a complete badass

Moo2u

These gorilla marketing is pretty cool, but I also hope they show how he recruits clown henchmen in the actual movie. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

Can't wait for tomorrow.

Don't worry, I really feel Heath will do a great job.

1. He spent six weeks in a Hotel room going over the character.
2. This is awesome: Heath started putting together a diary, news articles, ads, clippings, etc. etc. One day, he left it on set, it was found and they asked him about it,

"Oh, that's just my Joker Diary"...
"What's in it?"
"Just things I think the Joker would laugh at, there's a lot of things about AIDs in there..."

What do you think? http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif

Hahaha! Oh man!! That's hilarious!

Just another thought looking at this picture...
http://dailybubbletea.files.wordpress.com/2007/08/darkknight2.jpg
Joker's hands aren't white? So...did he fall into the acid? Or did he just paint his face? I thought one of the cool things about the Joker was that he didn't ware a costume, he was the costume.

I am really looking forward to The Dark Knight. I hope it at least lives up to the extremely high standard set by Batman Begins, and I'd of course love for it to surpass that.
