I recently started playing again, and in my older days I had a lot of hacked mags and other weapons from other people. I deleted all my accounts (I'm on X-Box) and remade my characters, so no hacked items. I heard if you have hacked items, PSO doesn't allow you to find rares in single player. Is this true? And if it is, can I reverse this by doing what I did and recreating all my accounts? They are all fresh new, so hacked items whatsoever.

Thanks for the help. PSU got old fast, PSO never gets tiring for some reason.

Yes, hacking and stacking will set your rare item drops to 0. Duping has no effect on the drop rates. By recreating all the accounts, everytinh should be back to normal.

The only two things that disable the rare drops are:
1. Stacking items past their normal limit
2. "Hacked" mags over level 200

Things that do NOT disable rares are:
1. Duping items
2. Using "hacked" weapons
3. Using weapons with "hacked" %'s
4. "Hacked" mags level 200 and under

Yes, you ought to be careful.. It would suck if your rare drops end up with a droprate of 0.

if you have a hacked mag and u want ur drop rates back but u still wanna keep the mag for other times, just take it off, put it in your bank, turn off your game, turn it back on, take out a legit mag, put it on, and there you go. just if you take the other mag out itll be 0 again.
