I ask this as I have heard it is virtually impossible to do due to the slowness of that particallar function that makes it possible.

i heard some ppl say that it was possible on XBox but harder due to the XBox controller...

This "trick" is easier to do on 360. Very hard to do on Ps2, but possible.

Well, all I can say is its pretty easy to do on PC once you know how.... on PS2.... way tough....
