View Full Version : Rappy Feathers are acting a bit fickle.

I have found 4, and they were all on the login page, before logging in, or after logging out. Using the Log In link in the notification banner does not appear to redeem the find.

I don't care, but I know someone out there will probably whine about it.

The Rappy Feather contest is essentially a giant raffle. Each time you find a feather, you are "buying" a ticket. At the end of the contest, prizes will be paired up with tickets at random. Given the large number of people visiting the site right now and the number of feathers appearing, a difference of 15 feathers won't matter much.

Unfortunately, you can only redeem a feather if you are already logged in when finding it. Otherwise, it would be much harder to validate contest entries and we would have a touch time matching up users with their contest entries.

are you using some sort of computer program to do the drawing, because that would be an insane amount to do by any other method.

I assume all it's doing is adding every entry in a file and choosing one at random. Not too difficult to design.
