They can still post in your topics.

Blocking a person will only prevent them from sending Private Messages to you. Their messages will still appear in topics.

Is there a way to filter people in topics then? I know that sigs can be disabled, but.. Not that it is necessary, but since someone else just asked, I might as well ask too.

Edited: For no particular reasons, it would be nice if some people's posts (mainly..stupid questions & pointless stuff) can be filtered.

No. A feature like this would be very resource intensive under the current forum architecture.

Bah. Any plans on ever stepping up the enforcement of the rules against harassing people, then?

If you observe an act of harassment, use the Mod Alert tool or PM one of the board's moderators. With the current amount of activity, it is likely we'll miss some things over the next few days.

while that might sound good at first, that could lead to some minor probs.

Scenario 1
Blocked poster: replies an answer to something
You: replies same redundant answer

Scenario 2
Random poster: asks a question
Blocked poster: asks a question
You: answer random poster without quotes, but then it looks like you are answering the blocked poster, and giving something entirely wrong

Not even sure what would happen if he made a topic. Open it up and get nothing I suppose? Regardless, if it's that bad, it really doesn't take that much effort to glance at the person's name/avy and decide to not read the post.

I would very much dislike a feature like that. D:

oh man, if the forums started blocking everybody like it did for your PMs, that would just be... XD

WTF WHERE ARE ALL THE POSTS?!

Also, how would I unblock? D:

I would be so lonely. ;_;

I'd rather be lonely than be harassed, but like I said, the mods don't do anything about it, so *shrug*

I have yet to ever receive a mod alert from you about this issue. Sorta difficult to help someone if they don't ask for help.

Are they harassing you in topics? if so, tell a mod. If not, suck it up and deal with the fact that they have the same privileges as you do on these forums.

What would be the point of making someones posts invisible, it's not like the post wouldn't be there, additionally, you wouldn't know if they said something useful, also the chaos it would cause would be quite troublesome.
