I have a new question regarding the art contest for AOI

1. Does the character in the picture have to be an offical storyline character or can it be your own?

2. is there any file size limits?

3. can more then 1 person be in the picture?

Okies

1. It can be your own character.
2. There's no particular file size limit; so long as it's not some absurdly large size (like, a 10MB JPEG is probably a little excessive!), it'll all be good.
3. One person, two people, the entirety of all Guardians in Gurhal... Whatever you're up to is fine with us.

I'd like to know if the prizes will be available to those all around the world please? If so, that's certainly an incentive to participate.

Ah, I wouldn't mind paying shippig in case I won! These are items unavaiable anywhere!

You should have also had a fanfiction prize... to lure out those amazing writers we have lurking in the wings. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

so what happens if 1 person gets 2 places in the top 3? i was un aware that one person could submit multiple entries, but it would be messed up if one person gets first and second and the prizes of both

My Question: How am I supposed to take the ass whipping that is going to be handed out to my Art piece? Cynically or cloaked in denial? http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif /sarcasm

Anyways, I've very impressed with what I see. I see a specific person's gathering of characters and I must say I like it. I can even see my character and he looks quite what I'd figure he'd look like.

I just would have thought that it would have been nice to know that the entries were to be anonymous. I would have refrained from putting my name on mine http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

But it said in the rules that you can have more than one entry, but you can't have 1 pic in both the humor an the quality category.

My coloring style is to obvious >_> Some others are also easy to spot who made it http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

I would have put my signature on anyway just because of internet art thieves (not like it really matters, but...)

And I don't know if I'm misreading yet again, but I interpreted it as you can't enter the same piece in both categories.

Hmm.. It looks like the voting was reset an another picture was added? I guess someone misplaced a picture...

Umm, apparently so. Or can you vote every 24 hours? This makes no sense...

Well, you posting your entry on this forum was a violation of the rules, but aparently Tomeeboy is taking the fall for it, not you.

Sorry Sab, but thats a little vague. But I'll assume that you mean Wallin as he was the only one to officially clam ownership of his work by posting it. I was curious if he was disqualified too, so I asked Meira, about 10min after Wallin posted, an he said that he would ask Tommeeboy.

But the Rules state...

Any works that are posted on PSOW (either in the Fan Works forum or appropriate Gallery) prior to the start of the contest are not eligible for submission. Also, any entries that are posted in Fan Works before the contest ends will be disqualified.
I interpreted that "end of the contest" means after judging. Although I could be wrong.

Jared, yea that's who i meant. Sorry for being vague, I don't mean to sound mean. Meira told me Tommeboy made a mistake somewhere, so they will leave the entry, but take it off teh fanart forum (which hasn't happened).

It doesn't matter anyway.. most people already know who made what..

So the voting will never be fair.. friends always vote for friends.. even if it's not the best piece of art.

I myself don't care about winning.. I am not enough PSU fan to be interested in the prices

Oh... that was definitely my bad... when I read it I thought it said 'before the judging' for some reason.

I've already messaged them both to have my entry withdrawn from the contest. I'm sorry for the trouble I caused all the other contestants, I honestly didn't mean to screw things up. I was just happy to be able to draw people's characters, I have never had the opportunity to draw that many people, and toward the end I was worried if I would have to sumbit it without all the characters, but I am so glad I didn't. I would really rather they not take down the post, it's more important to me to remember who I drew and what they contributed.

I forgot to enter the contest. Oh well. I wasn't too excited for the prizes anyway.

eh, maybe I missed something somewhere, but when is the actual winner being anounced, now that voting is closed? If I did miss something, and the winner was announced or something, can I please have a link, 'cause I'm not finding anything.
