And it's called...

Cloverfield!

At least it says so in the new trailer.

Looks like it's been bootlegged, but there's a new trailer at the theatre I work at, so I'll be running into Beowulf to check it out on my shift tonight. >_>;

I believe though, you can make out a shadow of a "monster" in that trailer. And it looks very similar to the sketches found on the internets.

I'm excited, it looks interesting, and I know I'll be seeing it in theatres. :3

I been excited for this movie ever since I saw the trailer for it in summer. I mean c'mon, how often does a giant monster movie come along?

The new trailer kicks ass, and gives hints to smaller creatures to accompany the larger one. Your link gave me a forbidden error, but if it's the same one that floated around before, I got it here:

But yeah, January isn't too far off, can't wait to see it!

Hopefully this doesn't get pushed back...

There's some speculation that it could be a new Godzilla movie

I like the way the are using the trailers, it reminds me of Alien, where you are wondering what this creature that is torturing the crew(in this case a city) actually looks like

EDIT: Hero, you should have named the Thread "'J.J. Abhram's Project #1' gets a name"

Erm, no. It's not Godzilla, J.J. said so himself. Besides, any company that isn't Toho is not allowed to make a Godzilla movie right now.

I remember seeing this a long while back, it peaked my interest. I may go see it later, I'm just looking forward to see I am Legend, it's with Will smith( so you know it will be good) and it looks neat.

In "I Am Legend" IMAX, you get to see the first 5 or so minutes of The Dark Knight. (which I posted all the goodies thus far about The Dark Knight in the official thread not that long ago.)

Anyway, on topic.

Saw the trailer tonight, I can't tell you how awesome it is to actually SEE what's going on.

Like, at about a minute thirteen, you hear someone screaming (lol) and hear like, "mushy" noises. Well, in the shadow, it seems like the smaller monster is stabbing and killing someone.

Someone also dies from the Statue of Liberty's crown point. XD

Side note: It seems PSOW is going uber slow again, so I apologize if this double+ posts. Mods feel free to delete the extra ones if I can't get to them first. :3

HOLY CRAP!

so I was on this site http://www.1-18-08.com/ and first of all you can flip the pictures over and read whats on the back of them, but second of all and more importantly, I left it idling in a tab for like 15 minutes and after a while the page fucking roared loud as shit and scared the crap out of me!!!!

I'm kind of interested in seeing this... I just hope it doesn't turn out to be another bad monster/horror movie. There has got to be a way to pull off movies like that without making them completely stupid in the end.

Try this link for a better quality video.

EDIT: Oh man, I am so psyched for this movie after the second trailer. It's like Godzilla and The Blair Witch Project had a baby, and the dude behind Lost is the OBGYN in charge of the whole shebang. In terms of the storyline, I wonder if perhaps the Slusho people have something to do with the parasites on the big monster, and that's why the beast is on a rampage...hmm.

Ugh, this is a little disheartening: http://www.cinemablend.com/new/New-Cloverfield-Art-Explains-Everything-7071.html

It's like, "if you haven't figured it out! We're going to stick it on the poster!"

I don't see how this is really disappointing. I mean, yes, it's kind of lame that they have to SPELL IT OUT to everyone, but it's not like this spoils any great mysteries of the plot. I mean, I knew everything on the new posted already. >_>
