View Full Version : Xbox 360: Slowdown (not network related, but game related gr

Yeah, it still exists (maybe even worse in AoI's levels) on the xbox 360 version of aoi. It totally makes JA-ing random as your attack speed changes depending on what's going on onscreen. The slowdown is as annoying as ever.

I'm sure everyone know's what I'm talking about - the slow motion that we go though when too much is going on onscreen. In other games, we'd get dips in our frames per second, but, with how PSU is programmed, the game essentially slows down in order to cope with what's going on onscreen.
Of course, having slowdown is better, in my opinion, then having really choppy framerates. However, slowdown shouldn't exist in a game like PSU on a system like the xbox 360. I would've thought Sega would've ironed out the engines or whatnot in order to make the game run better, but whatever. Boo.

Oh yeah, the mysterious fix for Oblivion's slowdown as well. Forgot about this. Thanks.

Well, the slowdown is still there after doing the cache cleanup, but it's no longer as drastic. I've played through the new neudaiz mission once after clearing the cache and while slowdown still exists (randomly when walking for a second, when breaking trees, when fighting many baddies or the team is doing a lot of stuff), it doesn't seem to be as bad as it used to be.
I'll see how it goes.

Nope, there is still full-blown slowdown. I'm playing alone in sakura blast and it's slowing down as I fight 2 boomas and two of the small dog things.
I assume the method of holding A as the xbox starts up is the same thing as doing the xx RB LB XX code on the harddrive screen.
So what's up? Is the game just horribly programmed? Fantastic. PSU Slow-Mo for life...

Hm, that's odd. Hows your disc look?

My disc is fine. PSU is just poorly optimized on the 360.

That's really strange. It's running fine for me, both Xboxes.

I don't know what else to suggest, anyone else?

If you have an HDtv, dropping to SD will help with the slowdown. The upscaler in PSU is CRIMINALLY bad. However...I still play in HD and just deal with the slowdown.

I'll try that out. I never knew that.
