With the off-the-wall nerf to the basic single claw PA, should I get the current ultimate, or wait for the next one to come out? Also, how much does the next one cost?

It wasn't nerfed. The first move was buffed to hit 2 targets for 33% less damage and the second move was just buffed.

First wasn't nerfed.
If you want to get a new claw pa the current frag pa got boosted the second part does HUGE ammounts of damage now, its a good way of doing lots of damage quickly against say worms or kog nadds. Also being able to get to the knockback so quickly has it uses. Its still not very accurate (70%) though.
The new one will be 30 frags.

Any info on how the upcoming one works out power-wise?

About 170% ATP, 77% ATA at lvl. 30,
first part hits 3 enemies 3 times, second hits 2 enemies twice, i think.

That's it? I thought it would continue the trend and have a damage modifier that was over nine thousand.
Seems pretty good on paper so far. Is the second hit modified in anyway compared to the first? It seems strange that it would do less damage.

I just looked at the video again (it should be noted that im getting most of my information from videos in that VII factor pa thread, so take it all with a grain of salt).
The second hit does a bit more damage, it was 270 vs. 310. After looking at it again it looks like the second part might hit 3 times, could hit 3 enemies too.
I'm pretty sure the first part hits 3 enemies 3 times though.

Use the first Claw PA on a group or a large enemy and you'll realize that it wasn't nerfed at all.

I'm saving up for the upcoming Ult. Claw PA, looks pretty strong with some nice crowd control.

I do think its a shame that Shousen Totsuzah-ga got its damage reduced for an extra target. I really liked that single target thing, but I guess Saber and Spinning Strike already serves that function. And isn't that 3rd claw PA like an AoE move? If so, I might save my frags and wait for that one.

The ult claw PA as a just attack does absurd damage against mobs with multiple attack points. Combine it with a daiga-misaki for what is essentially gibarta on steroids.

Using Just Attack on the second hit of Senten Kanzan-ga on 3 monsters or a 3 hit-spot monster while using a Neiclaw is the rough equivalent of eating a dimate for free!

Before the boost it was 147% atp at lvl 17.
After the boost it's now 187% atp at lvl 17.
At level 24 it sits pretty at 194% atp now and I couldn't be happier about it. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime1.gif

Senten Kanzan-ga's second hit definitely got boosted big time. It hits for 3000+ for me as a Human Fighgunner.

I would say Senten Kanzan-ga would be your best bet because of the sheer amount of damage it can do. For example, I have the PA at level 18 and I'm a level 107 male CAST Fortefighter 15 with high % Ga-Misakis combined with a Ga-senba, and when I'm attacking on opposite elements after chewing on an Agtaride I can break 3900 damage on the second hit.

They'll both be good Senten Kanzan-ga still has a low accuracy mod that won't improve so a fF or WT will probably be better off with the new one, Buku Saien-zan.
An AF or a FG will probably be better with Senten because they have large base accuracy mods.
It depends a lot on enemies too, Buku will more than likely be better in the Hive because a lot of the enemies have high evasion.
If your the kind of person who cries everytime they see a 0 you won't like Senten.

I still miss quite a bit with Senten as Fighgunner tough :/

But anyways, Single Claws are probably the most underrated weapon in the game >_>

I have the PAs but never use them, or Claws. I was thinking I'd use them come Acrofighter time, but we shall see. Spinning Strike is pretty awesome.

I've always preferred the first PA over the Ult. The Ult was slow and ponderous.. all that fruity flipping around. The first one just ripped stuff up, no fancy crap involved.

I got the new PA offline, and at least the first part is great. Three attacks against three targets, it's like a slow Renkai. It also looks very stylistic of claws. I say save up for it before buying the more expensive (useless) one.

By the way, just because of this PA, I'm starting to like single claws. Especially big single claws. It's a shame I can't have big single claws and small twin claws, unless the Tenora S ranks are smaller than the Yohmeis.

What are the chances of that, again?

Senten > the big ass T word I can't spell.

And it's one of those PAs where lvling it beyond 11 is kinda pointless.

the 36k double claw PA is the best one by far, damage wise..
