Top 10 Questions In General Forum

I really getting a bit sick and tired seeing the SAME questions being asked by people 20+ times.

Yea it's a common problem for most people to not use the search button but Im really getting fed up with this, especially if Im at work surfing and in a bad mood, I will just reply with stupid comments to these people.

I propose this, just to create a new table in General Chat in between *Sticky Topics and *Topics, and make them stickies. Name it *Top Questions

Make this table reply only and no new threads created in this section.

I really think this will make life a hella lot easier

Not exactly Top 10 questions, but there are about 3-5 Questions currently that are always being asked

So in order to alleviate the problem of seeing the same questions come up over and over, you're suggesting that we show the questions over and over in the form of stickies? http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

I like the idea of giving people quick access to commonly asked questions, but I don't think many people are going to want a block of these questions appearing before the new topics that they want to view. However, there may be somewhere else we can put something like this, I'll have to take a look at the layout and see what options we have.

Well, for PSO, we had this (http://www.pso-world.com/sections.php?op=viewarticle&artid=1173). A single, locked sticky with that sort of information might get the job done, if it is updated as new issues come up.

Not over and over again, but just 1 Master Thread on a specific repeated subject. As Im thinking well into this, it may be a bit complicated as each day, week and month are going to be different.

I know we all dont want 50 Stickies to scroll though before we get to the real General Posts. That's why I was thinking of up to the Top 10 General Questions or Topics Get stickied. But probably keep it seperate and in between -Sticky Topics and -Topics

Problem is what to decide what should make it on this Top List as it could only last a few days or week while some repeated subjects are always asked every now and then.

One of the 3 top things I see are

- 1up Cup Rewards question

- What Is The Hot Spot?

- I've Been Gone, What Did I Miss?

Also the dreded- When do the Servers Come Back Up or when is maintance over?

A topic that I think right now should definatly be Stickied is that Room Decoration that is stealing peoples money and people not knowing how much money is being taken.

Once we have an established Master Subject, the MOD can quickly swoop in and say please goto Http://___ and close/lock topic.

Yes I know MOD's do this with most things, but if we have a master thread with an ongoing topic, maybe some posters here wont need to lash out on the OP.
