does uploading raw mp3s work too?

I can't edit them with even an image/video attached, but just would like to upload like music people can hear, even though there wouldn't be any video.

well right now in My Videos it says it's processing,

how long does it normally take a video to process? the music length isn't long, just under 3 minutes.

I doubt you'll be able to upload mere mp3's, because that would be very easy to take advantage of. There are already alot of music videos up on youtube, and often enough they get taken down.

I've never uploaded anything to youtube, but I'm pretty sure mp3's would'nt be allowed. Sort of defeats the purpose, it's youtube, it's for videos, not audio.

If you want to upload MP3's, your best bet is to try using the webspace that your ISP has provided for you, or obtaining a paid webspace account with another service. If it's your own original work, you can try registering on MP3.com (http://www.mp3.com/), and upload it there. Otherwise, you're shit out of luck.

What I've seen people do is just make a still image of the album cover as the video, and have the audio be the song they want to play. Seems to work.

yeah I seen those but I dont have software compatible with windows 98 to edit something like that.

well I suppose I could get a cheap webcam and record the audio that way, while pointed and the monitor displaying some image related to it, but ya, just a little curious about uploading youtube videos, since it's so easy, just need actual videos. lol. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime1.gif

I recently just got into using YouTube.

I have to admit that a fair amount of my videos are just songs to a static image because I want to have someone listen to a tune.

What I've been using to make them is Windows Movie maker. It's very, very easy to use and it comes already installed in every version if Windows XP.

Example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S1FRYmMw3wU

EDIT: Oh, I just read that you're using Windows 98.. huh.. well that really puts you in a bad position. If worse comes to worst I can just upload it for you.

oh its okay, it's nothing major. A relative of mine has a webcam I think but pointing that at a TV would result in bad quality.

I would proably have to have the comp opened up if I use some kind of capture card that can plug right into the TV and feed a signal into the computer that way.

but that's kinda troublesome so I may try the webcam pointed at the TV method. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime1.gif
