PSU-PC: Brief lock-ups

Due to use conflicts, I installed AoI on an older comp (Old enough to not have a DVD drive, had to copy files).

Now, when I play with the settings slightly above the bare minimum, I get brief lock-ups, for a few seconds, every 10-20 seconds.

Any idea what the cause could be? (Probably just outdated hardware)

The problem is you have an expansion on an older computer, the game is putting more stress on the cpu. It's working too hard, that's why it's freezing. Drop your setting even further if you want to run it more smoothly.

It sounds like the music problem that's been causing freezes. From the PSU LAUNCHER OPTIONS, try turning off the music. That should -hopefully- fix the problem.

The issue with sound that causes comp crashes? Or something else?

Actually, I just had this happen two or three times on my usual comp, which has a brand new sound card in it and shouldn't be having these problems... Though its not nearly as frequent, and has only been during rapid input, so it may just be temporary system stress.

I'll try turning off the sound though.
