@ KaFKa, the 'Flood!' part of Raining Blood (the solo) on GH3 makes what would be excessive whammying into trills. Not fun.

What seems to be working for me is if you try to strum along to the drum beat, and try your best hitting the frets. I dunno, might work for you.

Yes, it's Mosh 1. Beating this shit just seems impossible. I've kind of been avoiding this song and just honing my skills on other songs. The bonus playlist is just has way too many great songs to play. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif

Same really. I tried passing Mosh 1 for hours, and ended up just cramping the hell out of my hand. As much as I love the song (though I would've preferred Angel of Death), I hate the way Mosh 1 is charted.

I've just been ignoring it for a couple of days, improving my scores on other songs (One, Knights of Cydonia, etc), and playing some of the bonus tracks.

If we're ranting about GH3 though, I'd also like to say I hate the entire chart (except the chorus) for Take This Life. Strumming the alternating Y/B notes that aren't Hammer Ons isn't even fun. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_disapprove.gif

I've gone through hard (using a controller, because it's all I've used, and I wanted the 'Go buy a guitar already' or w/e achievement), and didn't have much issue until:
Raining Blood.
One.
ugh. It mostly bugs me that just pieces of the songs cause me to fail when the rest is relatively simple.
I'll get em though..sometime.

The beginning part of Through the Fire and Flames is really the only part I have a lot trouble with. The section is called 'They Hammer Ons' but I fail to see how I can hammer that shit on.

I remember the first time I attempted Raining Blood and got to Mosh 1 (on expert of course)... I was laughing really hard at how ridiculous it was lol.

Eventually though I got the hang of it and beat it but it took some practice.

Oh and the last boss battle is pretty easy, just requires luck because some of the power ups don't do anything to make Lou fail. There's a tremolo speed pick that kills him instantly if you get the whammy or green button killed.

That would be because they aren't H/O's and P/O's on guitar (it's palm muting a note on one string and playing an open note on the next string, if that makes any sense).

As for Raining Blood, I've taken a break from it for a couple of days, practicing other songs.

It's funny, i hate GH3 sometimes, but then I do a song I enjoy and love it again.
