possible trade hack on gamecube pso?

hey guys one of my buddies that works for tips and tricks magazine called me today and said he might have been a victim of a trade hack. im not sure if the action replay is out in the states yet or if theres some glitch that allows this to happen. but can anyone else confirm there is a trade hack?
