how do you all get such cool PSU sigs of your characters?

Some people make their sigs using programs like Adobe Photoshop, Macromedia Flash, e.t.c. Most are pictures taken online and then cropped and fixed up using these programs. If you can get a screenshot of your character from the game, maybe someone can make a cool sig pic for you too.

Edit: For example, I made mine using some screenshots from PSU, Photoshop and a starfield picture that I found through Google Image Search.

Take pictures and use a photoediting program like photoshop? Or get someone else to make one for you.
