After much research, I've found out the root of the problem with much the sound / white noise issue. Apparently, somewhere in the audio coding for PSU AOI, its been changed significantly compared to PSU original to cause an incompatibility between SoundMax Audio driver and PSU AOI in then causes much of the white noise that I hear so much for the background music. Also sometimes randomly, you will suffer from the freezing problem to the point it renders PSU unplayable.

Now... there is a... "fix". If you download and use Microsoft's UAA driver for the HD audio architecture instead of the SoundMax driver, it fixes the white noise BGM issue. However I have noticed that I get slowdowns right after I load a map compared to before which everything would load much more smoothly. Again I suspect there is some issue with the sound from PSU that's causing lagging chaos on my computer.

The other thing that me off is that I cannot properly record sound with the Microsoft UAA driver which makes me nuts. (I can't make proper videoes ;_Wink

I hope SEGA can fix the incompatibility now I've pointed them into the right direction >_>
