If you're trying to do Control Center now, you have to go through the door across from the one where you enter the Temple and Spaceship. There's another warp pad in there for Control Center and Seabed.

It happens. In fact, there have been hundreds of people searching for hundreds of hours for items from them. 4 hours is a tad soon. Give it time.
