That album is still commercially available (it can still be imported). If you don't want to pay for the album, why bother making an unauthorized copy of it? There are other things one can do to entertain oneself.

The album at Gamemusic.com is the Japanese import, not a bootleg.

In addition, TokyoPop, an U.S. anime publishing label, does release some game music in the U.S., although most of those albums are not full soundtracks (don't have certain tracks of the Japanese version).

animenation.com sells game soundtracks too, I think I saw PSO there.

The only thing I hate about video game soundtracks is how expensive they are... I still buy them, but I have to save up for a while.

I own original video game soundtracks as well, and I'll agree the costs are very high. Excluding currency conversions, most of those albums are expensive in Japan as well. Blame it on the industry. But, I buy what I want to hear.

You guys should try eBay. I got the Ragol Odyssey soundtrack brand new (not a bootleg) for $15.
