I think it is just a memory card sticker...

although why the 'mosquito' is in there... can't quite figger that one out.

Anyway, if that isn't the case, then I apologize in advance.

OO OO! I figgered it out!

It is the seal for the original memory card...

what do you use seals for? Locking away evil demons! This seal locks the evil Mosquito Demons away in your memory card! And if you remove it, then the giant mosquito demon monsters will attack Tokyo!

See, that's why it is only available to the japanese... we don't have godzilla or ultraman to stop the menace once some n00b removes the seal.

Mosquito........what the hell is that thing that goes out of the monest in the forest. i forget the name but its like a mosquito. HEY MAYBE ITS THAT ITEM CALLED "PROOF OF SONIC TEAM" or something like that.

I remember that Babelfish likes to translate "ai" as mosquito... I viewed a few Eternal Arcadia websites a while back and every time Aika's name popped up, it translated it as something bizarre like "mosquito fire" or something. I bet that's what it's doing. o_O
I'd guess they are memory card stickers though. Seal? Closest thing I can think of is sticker. And like I said before, Sonic Team seems to enjoy giving out stickers as prizes. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_lol.gif

ST could make a room that has a password lock. Then they mail the code to each winner. After that they have to go to the room (maybe a bunch of rooms to make it easier to access) Then inside the winners download the files into their memory card.

Oooor...they could just lock all the servers and make them only accessible by the winners (they could send the password by e-mail I guess). Then the lobbies are changed, and you could talk to a person and they "Give it to you" A.K.A you download it into your memory card.

But considering how inconvenient that would be...I'd say it's either a sticker or that casing that goes around the memory card...maybe make it look like those Playstation memory cards that have design's on the ends...something like the Playstation Gameshark..
