Look here (I'm sure most of you already know this.)

Now look at this:

They're re-releasing a director's cut in Japan, but still not bothering to translate it? As mentioned by a few people, all it takes is a commercial showing the re-done special moves of all the characters and that'd be mega eye candy for everyone. This makes me sad.

There's also a new Tales game announced, not specifically for a platform yet, but there's an unannounced RPG release by Namco for the PS3... >_> that's destined for failure in the US (Assuming it's even going to make it here)

My question is: why not make it for Wii and use the Classic Controller? For one, everyone has/wants the damn system, and Nintendo had the greatest success in the US with Tales titles (See: Symphonia as Player's choice and still selling)

This is something I'd be willing to make a petition for.

AAAAH! I want that so bad...uhh...could Namco PLEASE give Tales of Destiny Remake Director's Cut a half-assed localization so the American Tales fans can actually play a classic Tales game in ENGLISH for the first time since that piece-of-shit Tales of Phantasia GBA version? (err...does Legendia count as classic? It had that single-line Linear Motion Battle system...)

Also: I'm pretty sure there's gonna be a Tales of Symphonia sequel for the Wii. Knights of Ratatosk or some such, I think it was called.

Wow this is old news...Tales has been out on ps2 in japan for almost a year or so now. I'm slowly counting the days till the possibility of seeing it come to the states. I even have my limited edition memory card from Hori.

Tales of Destiny is out on the PS1 in full english, and PS1 games play on your PS2... so I don't see what the big deal is here.

Something tells me you haven't seen PS2 version. Let me just say long story short pretty much everything all the way down to story sequences were changed. And I mean everything.

Artea speaks the truth. I played the original for PS1 many many years ago, then picked up the remake for PS2 and loved every second of it. They added a new system, new animation, new skits, new sidequests, AND they even had something to where you could play some online games on their official ToDPS2 website (including their own version of Sudoku) to unlock in-game features/moves/etc!

Now that the Director's Cut is coming out soon, I will pick up a copy of that as well. I simply can't WAIT! *drools* I get to play through a mode dedicated to Leon...

this is something I have ALWAYS wanted http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime1.gif

And just for fun http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

Now if only we could bring over Tales of Destiny 2 (THE REAL ONE..you know..with Stahn's son, Kyle?! *grumbles*), Tales of Rebirth, and ToD for PS2. I mean come on! They brought over Alter Code F for Wild Arms and it was just a remake. I still enjoyed it like the original, but still! Think about it Namco T_T!!

P.S. Well, we know Tales of Vesperia is coming for 360, but the question is..will the PS3 get a release as well or will it have to wait for a different Tales installment? Well..even if the PS3 misses this one, I guess I can still look forward to Star Ocean 4 http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_lol.gif

You think Tales will sell for 360 honestly? WAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Ain't gonna sell on wii either.

*slaps forehead* Did you even READ my post? -.-'

I said this game is being sold ON the 360. Not once did I say something like, "Man! This is going to sell really well cause it's on the 360 http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif!".

Anyway...my own personal opinion as far as sales for the 360 are concerned is..yes, I actually do think this is a good move.

This will give the 360 users a Tales title which is great, since they don't have one yet. I bet there are quite a few people who own a 360 who would love to play a great RPG, since..you know..we don't have THAT many in the States for 360.

And naturally..Japan will eat this game up. There may not be as many 360 consoles over there as there are in the States, but I can guarantee you, this game will fly off the shelves in Japan. Much like Blue Dragon, this seems to be a promising RPG.

Also, about the Tales game for the Wii...yes..that will probably sell INSANELY well in Japan. There are sooooooo many people in Japan who own a Wii from my understanding. So...Wii + Tales fan = MAJOR fangasm!

Once again, this is a really good move. I don't think there's a Tales game on the Wii yet, so..much like the one being released for 360, I believe releasing one for Wii is a wonderful idea too and shouldn't have any problems selling.

Secondly..come on...it's the sequel to a title a TON of Tales fans loved, "Tales of Symphonia". I'm sure it won't have any problems selling, don't worry http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

In the US at least, it will do better than it would on the PS3 (mostly because no one has one), on 360 only it would phail in Japan. I can see a port coming out for PS3 in Japan, similar to how Tales of Symphonia was released again on the PS2 there.

As long as it's not on the PS3, I'm happy. The system is still not worth buying yet IMO.

If Sakaguchi's Lost Odyssey, which looks AMAZING, can't even break 100k then Tales 360 has no hope.

It's too early to assume that ToD:R Director's Cut won't come out in the US. Hell, we don't even know if ToR:PSP is coming out here. And then there's Tales of Innocence...
