There is no word if FFXI will be here on PS2. PC version has a better chance.

As for making a website, we only work on this site. However, someone might have plans to bring a FFXI world site...if it ever comes here, that is.

Yes I agree about FFXI its been a major flop in the PS2 so thats a definite no, as for the PC version I would really doubt that as well just from the failure of past square PC ventures, did any of you actually own FF7 for PC? (I did) but according to sales and future releases not much of anyone else ever did.

Did it run just as unbearably slow and terrible on your computer as it did mine?

Still it was only like $10, so I wasn't grumbling too loudly.

Mine did run pretty slow on my computer.

It runs better on my new computer, but because of the higher resolution, the pre-rendered backgrounds are look unspiffy.

From Final Fantasy Online Zone (http://www.ffozone.com):

Square announced the details of their midterm earnings. The total sales has decreased by 39.1% to 12 billion yen; the ordinary profit is 1.544 billion yen; and the pure profit is 405 million yen. Square mentioned they will bring the MMORPG Final Fantasy XI to North America, "the brand is analyzed, examined, and is established and reinforced". As for their development strategies, Square will make games suitable for each supported platform, though the main platform is assumed to be PlayStation 2.

Hopefully, this is true.

There is currently a Benchmarking program that tells you if your computer can/will run Final Fantasy XI or not, and it is located here (http://www.playonline.com/Download/FFXiBench.zip). To find out what the score means, look at this (http://babelfish.altavista.com/babelfish/urltrurl?lp=ja_en&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.playonline.com%2Fff11win%2Fwi n10.html) page. The Score is basically the same as other benchmarks like 3DMark, except on a different scale and only measuring for one specific thing. It may be in Japanese, but it works fine on American versions of Windows (of course).

FFXI is coming out, and I will laugh in your faces when you are stuck with the same PSO quests yearly while we get new character classes, new areas, and new enemies to fight. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

If I were you, I wouldn't bet on it. Who knows what will happen in future?
