shortcutting symbols in ver.2

i saw that you can shortcut symbol chats on ver.2(DC), but i couldn't figure out how to do it. so, how do you do it?

if you mean those little sign things that pop up above your head when you say them.... then after oppening your chat box, press R to toggle through the different chat menus until you find that one. i say press R because I play it on GC.

the must be an option like shortcuts, from F keys to up/down....keys
if you select it, a box apears so you can input text, since you want simbols, simply press press the R button.
atleast i beleive it's like this, if not i will tomorrow check it out

no, not those symbols. the shortcut thing that DC_PLAYER has of a dreamcast w/ the DC buttons (ABXY)
i made the symbol chat of the DC, but how do i set it to one of the arrow keys on the D-pad?

i think i have said it already.
press start > chat > Shortcuts > select the key/direction you want > press R to move beetween text and previously saved chat simbols.

*playing the game now*
same stuff
start, enter menu, select chat, now select shortcut.......select the desired key, now a text box apears, press X

so it's X instead of R........my mistake
