Hi. I'd like to ask a question, i've got the pso v2 DC version and i can't play it by internet (cause i don't have a phone connection no more, and there aren't any servers left that I know) so i want to know if you could tell me how can i get the download quests to move them to the memory card, i need the .vms and .vmi files...that's it?
one last thing...how can i know which pso v2 version I have? japanese, european or american?

Thanks

Off the top of my head, a 3rd party memory card would probably be the only way. My old memory card allowed me to hook up the memory card through a printer port.

There may have been a homebrew disc that allowed you to install stuff onto the card as well by burning them onto a disc but I never had need for something like that. Try out dcemulation.com, it's a site dedicated to homebrew stuff.

If all else fails then the last thing would be trying to get onto the "Private servers" which would probably have those quests as direct downloads through PSO much like regular download quests. You'll have to google it though since it's against the rules to talk about those servers.

The other thing you could do is those private servers usually support PSO PC, which is a (more or less) direct port of v2. That would be easier to play the quests on, though you'd have to figure out if you wanted to shift your characters over, how you'd want to do that, and if you would at all, among other things.

to get quests to WORK on your game they have to be downloaded directly from a server, it does not matter wich is it, as long you make the download the game will combine your game data with the quest data, therefore they will be related.
if you download them from a site for example they won't work.
keep in mind some quests do not have english translation, wich means to have some quests you will need to go online in japanese and play the quest in japanese or else the quest will not be recognized.

Your version if you have the original game disk and box, check the back, search for a " PAL | E " white symbol in the back.
another way it is very simple, if it is american, the box must contain an orange dreamcast symbol like this:

european version does not have an orange dreamcast logo since there was already a company with a similar one, so either white or blue, european version looks like this.

japanese ver.2 looks like this:

if you want PSO pc, wich it is also a solution you could go online and ask on the forums of a private server wich commands save and restore your char.
basicly you go online with the dreamcast, input a comand like save and then you go with pso pc and you go again but this time you input the command restore.
i'm not sure if it works or wich commands are, but looking at things if you go with dreamcast online you can pretty much stay there.
if you have problems going online, pso pc is good.
