Art theme Jam! (Jan '08)

Welcome! One and all. Welcome back to the Tingl- Sayara Scene Art Theme!

In 2006-7 i ran some quick weekly art related challanges asking artists to draw something related to a particular theme.

(Some examples included the Gender Bender, A theme related to flowers, Hats, and even underwear) This time its going to be alittle more content oriented.. Each challange has these special rules:

1. Must be related to the PS/PSO/PSU universe of things. This includes Story characters and your own characters.

2. Must fulfill the challange (obvious)

3. Maintain a PG-13 level or lower; I am going to talk to the staff and see if we can update fan-gallery with some of our best theme drawings.


Which brings us to this months challange.

Introduction

As a re-birth of our cool challanges, Lets take a moment to introduce ourselves to the world. Lets see who are players are.

In this challange you can:

A. Draw your PSO/PSU online/Extra/offline character with their favorite gear (clothing, weapons (optional), armor and mags (or PMs for PSU))

B. Use photoshop or a photo editing program to craftfully insert your PSO/U character to a new setting. (IE, send your hunter into a real jungle to fight some tigers, not just paste it into another PSU-y screenshot)

C. In a short passage of text introduce your character, be it through an ordinary routine of their life or an interview..etc anything goes.

Just a question: Am I free to do the drawing in photoshop as well? or is it tradional only?

Drawing can be Trad. or Digital as you see fit.

Just the only exception for photoshoppers (if it applies anyway) is that screenshots have to be doctored outside of a PSU setting

Alright.. thats good, cause I am starting to prefer digital sketching over traditional (mainly because traditional drawings always look different when scanned).

You got me alittle confused.

The challanges you can do ONE of the THREE.

If you're a good with the pen (or digital pen) you can draw your character (A)
If you're good at manipulating PSUs character models into a cool design you can shop your char in a different location (B) <-Sig makers do this
If you're better with words than with images you can do a text passage of your char (C)

Not all 3! :>
