Help error 051?

I keep getting error 051 which says that the servers are under maintenance but my friend is able to get on and on the psu website it says maintenance is over and it has been like 3 days can anyone tell me what is wrong? or how to fix it? im playing on a ps3 by the way not a computer

i think that error has something to do with the playsega thing there was a thing on the psu site about it
its something like an account credit card error..
never happens on the 360 by the way

The PlaySega errors are all in the 100s. Error 51 is just a server timeout.

This is something you have little control over. It just means your connection to the server timed out. It might be a firewall issue, so make sure PSU is allowed. I would also suggest having a look at your network traffic when trying to connect as too much traffic can cause a timeout. You can also try to setup port forwarding on your router to help streamline your PSU-related network activity.
