challenge in offline mode?

I while ago I asked about the offline multiplayer mode i PSO E 1&2 for Gamecube. However there was never anyone who told me if you could play challenge in offline mode. But i assumed that you couldn't since you cant play battle and quests. But today a friend of mine told me that you can play challenge mode in multiplayer offline mode and that he read it on Ragol.com a while back. My question to you is can you or can you not play challenge in MOM?

Yes you can play challenge mode offline in GC PSO 1&2, 2 to 4 players, split screen. But I hear the prizes aren't as good as online prizes. And you can also play battle mode offline, as well as certain quests for ep 1

Ok, thanks for your answers. Oh and by the way, you can play with your episode 2 character in episode 1 and use the items from episode 2, right?

As far as I know you can use the character in Episode 1 & 2. You have the same bank with your stuff in it and everything.
