Well the idea is to eat enough Tuesday so as to satisfy your for Wednesday. So they're not really starved, the Catholics, they ate a little earlier.

We're supposed to starve ourselves for the whole 40 days until Easter, especially fridays and Good Friday (the friday before Easter).
Not like this matters to me, since I starve myself anyway.

Wouldn't work for me since I have a pretty fast metabolism =x

I'm not Catholic but I still like doing the whole Lent thing. Not sure what I'm giving up this year though.

Oh, I'll do the usual. I'll tell my mom I went and gave up "something," and not really go. She'll know, but we're both too stubborn to admit it. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif God, I love our relationship.
