lightning beasts (or whatever the name of the second mission on the Rozenom city route is) Unless the rare boost rate also jacked up the chance of getting a rare map on a V1 mission.

Scarret Planet mission has it too.

Forest Of Illusion. Get 4+ people, you are GUARANTEED (I think it was) 6 Rappies, and all 6 of them dropped Kohu's for my party (I got 1 http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif)

Well if you're on PS2/PC then ya go for FoI, but if 360, stick with scarred for now.. Scarred Planet is the ONLY place I have seen rappies post-Aoti.. When I did scarred regularly I would get them at least once every 7 or so runs..

I recommend Lightning Beasts. You only have to abandon at block 1, which makes it party-friendly (ever try to talk other people into helping you hunt enemies on a mission where you have to abandon at block 2 90% of the time? not fun), plus the rappies are right at the end so if you don't get them, just finish for some rarz and MP.

The Gainozeros there aren't very solo-friendly though...

Well I managed when I was a Human Fighgunner, Lv 80 (S rank btw, I wanted those Daggers) So don't give me they're too hard.

Main is a techer. They're hell on me.

EDIT:Though, psupedia's rare map listings for Scarred Planet are completely and horribly wrong.

They are not to bad if you use some NPC as meat shields and spam Nosdiga in a distance. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

I did it with my Techer. Burn from Damfoie is your friend, as are NPCs. They always grabbed the rhinos' attention and let me stick a flaming wand down their throats.

Yeah, I just dont HAVE Nosdiga... (I love dark techs) Damfoie, on the other hand, I do have.
Are they vulnerable to dammegid's infect?

Libram

I don't have Dammegid, and I've never tried using my Dark bow bullet, but...

*checks PSUPedia*

...it appears they can be Infected. I'd still probably use Damfoie if it's a high enough level, though. Infect takes a little too long to fully process. Burn is nice and fast, and Burn 4 hurts much more than Infect would, anyway.

I suppose, though neither is tier 3 for me yet.

Rappies are in the final block for both Scarred Planet and Lightning Beasts.

I ran into the Love Rappies in the Forest of Illusion last night but all they dropped were Love Notes.

I use boma duranga on the gainozeros. its only lvl 3, but it still owns them and knocks them down. jut remember to spam dimates/trimates/stars at the right time.

They don't give my techer too much trouble. As others have mentioned, NPC meat shields are good. Electric armor helps for the whole mission. Nos Diga is awesome with them, though if they are close enough together I will through Damdiga at them (its on the same rod) and hit all three with it. Generally, I can take them out fast enough that I don't need to worry about hitting them with status effects, but if you find it taking longer, switching to damfoie or dammegid as others have said sounds like a good backup plan.

One thing that does give me trouble is on the map with the stairs straight ahead and the three cannons at the top. It's those buffed Jarbas. Though I think you can just run past them as you already have the key, I usually do the mission for the PA frags as well, which means I have to duke it out.

I was wondering if i could get rappies on B Or C. Can I?

You can, but they won't drop the stuff you're likely wanting to hunt them for.

yea...just as it happens im a human figh lv 81...(pwned) I only lose 1-3 scapes per run and the mission takes about 28-32 mins if I go all the way through, and if I bring NPCs it's even easier because they're great meatshields.

Well, that depends on what your're looking for. I can think of some very good stuff to hunt them on B for.

My Nova tries to avoid using Boma Duranga on them, it eats too many mates. Her lv36 Boma Megiga is much safer, and infects all of them easily.
